The OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro got an update to Android 10 in October, last year. However, the 5G version of these phones did not get the latest Android update. OnePlus said that it is rolling out the update in a sequential manner, and the newest Android update would be made available on the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G variant in the first quarter of 2020.
As promised, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G received the OxygenOS 10.0.4, which upgrades its OS to Android 10. And as expected, the new update brings some changes and additions to the phone. The overhauled UI and greater security when it comes to location permission are the major additions. There are other significant changes that are mentioned below.
The System update includes the new UI design, the Android 10 OS, enhanced privacy for location permissions, a customization feature that lets you choose icon shapes to be displayed in the Quick Settings.
There are also full-screen gestures such as inward swipes from the left or the right side of the screen for going back. A new navigation bar has also been added to the bottom of the screen.
Messages have also received a new update that allows you to block spam messages based on keywords.
There are other new features as well. As mentioned before, the update is being rolled out in phases, so only a few people have got this update. If you haven’t received the update, then there is no need to worry, you will receive it soon.
