Users across the globe have reported Instagram down and are unable to access the platform. The outage appears to be across the board, affecting users in various regions. The issue is leading users to get logged out of their accounts randomly without explanation. Reports of Instagram down services disruption began around 05:00 AM on March 22, with users primarily facing issues related to logging in. Downdetector, a site that monitors outages, recorded about 1,000 outage reports from Instagram users in India during the peak hours, with similar reports from the UK and US.
The issue of Instgram Down was reported yesterday too impacting thousands of users. Downdetector’s data revealed that at the height of the issue, more than 5,000 users in the United States encountered issues in logging into the platform.
Users while logging into Instagram are experiencing frustrating issues such as being unable to log in, access their feeds, or post content. They encounter an error message stating, “Sorry, we couldn’t complete your request. Please try again in a moment,” preventing access to their accounts. Despite attempting to log back in, logging out of the app persists.
Instagram Down issue is affecting both Android and iOS users, indicating that it is not limited to a specific device or operating system. Many users were shocked to see the message and felt that their Instagram accounts had been hacked.
Interestingly, users have reported that there are no Instagram Down issues encountered when accessing the app through a web browser. This suggests that the Instagram Down issue may be specific to the app rather than the platform as a whole.
The exact cause of the outage is not yet clear, and despite numerous reports on platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Meta, Instagram’s parent company, has not issued an official statement regarding the outage. Additionally, no significant issues were reported on Downdetector for Threads. In the meantime, users can log a complaint on the official Insta app providing all the necessary details.
The occurrence of outages is not new. It happened again after a recent major outage affecting Meta’s apps, including Instagram, Messenger, Threads, and Facebook. The company acknowledged and resolved that issue after several hours. However, as of the time of reporting, Meta or Instagram had not acknowledged the recent login issues and disruptions.
