Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to launch its next-gen Xiaomi 14T series, which will succeed the current 13T and 13T Pro models. After the Xiaomi 14 series launch in 2024, which included models such as the Xiaomi 14/Xiaomi 14 Pro/Xiaomi 14 Ultra versions, the Chinese OEM is now preparing for the debut of the Xiaomi 14T series. This new series is expected to replace the existing 13T and 13T Pro models, which were announced in September 2023.
Fascinating details about the Xiaomi 14T series, particularly the 14T Pro model, were uncovered in the code of Xiaomi’s operating system, HyperOS, as reported by Android Headlines. The findings suggest that the Xiaomi 14T Pro could be an upgraded version of the rumored Redmi K70 Ultra. This implies that the 14T Pro might share certain features or specifications with the K70 Ultra, possibly offering improvements or upgrades over its predecessor.
The flagship model, Xiaomi 14T Pro (codenamed Rothko), is tipped to share many specifications with the Redmi K70 Ultra (codenamed N12), including its internal name. The 14T Pro is rumored to be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 processor and will include wireless charging, a feature that is not available in the K70 Ultra.
The Chinese version of the 14T Pro may have a slightly different camera setup, without the Leica logo, to reduce costs. However, it will still feature a telephoto camera, while the K70 Ultra will have a macro camera instead.
The standard Xiaomi 14T (codenamed Degas) is expected to be available globally and may have a different processor from the Pro variant. While details about the standard 14T are limited, it is likely to differ from the Pro model in terms of the processor used. Comparing the specifications of the previous models, Xiaomi 13T and 13T Pro, the main difference was the SoC (System on Chip), with the 13T featuring the Dimensity 8200 Ultra and the 13T Pro using the 9200+.
