Motorola is revisiting the Moto Buds line with the latest models and color options. It is gearing up for the launch of new Moto Buds 2024 earphones, including a Plus version. These earphones are not entirely new, as the original Moto Buds model was released over 10 years ago. The inclusion of Snapdragon Sound support suggests a focus on audio quality, which is always appreciated in earphones.
Subsequent versions of Moto Buds, such as the Moto Buds 600, have featured ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) and support for Snapdragon Sound.
@evleaks has shared the images and model name on his Twitter handle. As per him, the upcoming models, codenamed Guitar (base model) and Flute (Buds+) will be available in 4 different colors: light blue, red, green, and blue.
The commercial names for the new Moto Buds earphones have not yet been officially released. These names will not only apply to the earphones themselves but also to the inside of the charging case and the logo positioned on the external body of the case.
Blass also shared the render images of the Moto Buds+ that will be offered in more understated beige and black colors.
Based on the available information and images, it seems that the Moto Buds and Moto Buds+ earphones have different design characteristics:
Surface Finish: The Moto Buds sport a glossy surface finish, which typically gives them a shiny appearance. In contrast, the Moto Buds+ has a matte surface finish, which is more subdued and less reflective.
Color Variation: In the beige color variant, the Moto Buds+ has a unique design element with the lower part of the stylus being shiny silver. This adds a contrasting element to the overall design. Moto Buds on the other has a glossy finish in 4 different colors, namely light blue, red, green, and blue.
Sound by Bose: The Moto Buds+ are labeled with “Sound by Bose,” suggesting that these earphones may have audio tuning or technology provided by Bose.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC): The Moto Buds+ may feature active noise cancellation, as indicated by a small grid on the outside of the stylus. This feature appears to be not present on the standard Moto Buds. Moto Buds+ ANC feature can significantly reduce ambient noise for a more immersive listening experience.
Overall, these design and feature differences suggest that the Moto Buds+ may offer a more premium audio experience compared to the standard Moto Buds. However, more information is needed about their technical specifications, launch date, availability, and pricing.
