Indian Army Asks Personnel To Delete 89 Apps

The Government of India had banned 59 Chinese apps from India last week due to security reasons. However, apps from other countries are still being used by citizens. While many apps are allowed for citizens, the Indian army has decided to stay cautious and asked its personnel to delete or avoid over 89 apps. Read on for details.

Indian Army Instructs Deletion Of Apps

The Indian army has taken this step to avoid any information leak through social media or other apps. The list includes popular social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook.

Some of the 89 apps are among those which the Center has already banned stating “they are engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defense of India, the security of the state and public order”.
