Google Stadia Founders Edition sold out in most countries, will be replaced by Stadia Premiere Edition

In case you are one of the unlucky people who could not buy the Google Stadia Founders Edition before it was sold out in most parts of the world, there is some good news. With Stadia launching sometime in November, Google is offering a similar package with some minor changes.

What is Google Stadia?

Google Stadia Controller

Google is set to become one of the biggest players in the video game streaming industry. While there are a number of video game streaming services, most of them are tied to some platform or charge too much.

Google hopes to reinvent the way these streaming services have been operating for the past couple of years. Google’s newest service will let you play your games on any device regardless of the hardware it packs. The idea of being able to play your favourite games inside a browser or on TV is something we look forward to the most.

Google Stadia Founders Edition sold out in most countries

If you have a decent internet connection, you can connect to Stadia and play all the games you own by paying a monthly subscription. Google announced that they will be selling a Stadia Founder’s Edition for a price tag of $129. This included everything you will need to get started with the streaming service, including an attractive Night Blue Stadia Controller.

With the Founders Edition now out of stock, Google is coming up with another way in case you want to get a jumpstart. Starting today, the Founders Edition will be now removed from Google Store in EU, which will now be replaced by the Premier Edition.

There are a limited amount of quantities available in the US, UK and Canada right now with Google informing us that the Founders Edition is the only way to secure your username on Stadia once it is launched.

What is Google Stadia Premier Edition?

The Stadia Premier Edition package is surprisingly similar to what the Founders Edition has to offer. Instead of the Night Blue controller, you will get a Clearly White controller. Moreover, it also includes a Chromecast UItra so you can play all your games in 4K, along with a free 3-month Stadia Pro subscription.

If you want to subscribe to Stadia after the three month period, Google charges $9.99 every month. The tech giant is also offering some free games as long you are subscribed to Stadia, which includes the widely acclaimed Destiny 2: The Complete Collection.

The number of games supported by Stadia on launch has skyrocketed to over 40, with Google actively partnering up with more developers to expand its library. However, the company has kept the launch date of Stadia under tight wraps. All we know is that Stadia will be coming sometime in November.

They also went on to say that the Founders Edition will be shipping first, which will gamers secure usernames before anyone else. Shortly after, Google will start shipping the Premier Edition, which is priced at €129.00 in Europe excluding the UK.

As stocks dry up, the company will reveal the price of Premier Edition in other countries as well. Stadia is an interesting take on the streaming video game industry and we are excited to see where it goes.
