OnePlus 7 Pro was in headlines this year for its 90Hz beautiful edge to edge AMOLED display. Asus has now confirmed that their next ROG Phone 2 will come with a 120Hz refresh rate display. That’s 1/3rd more fasters display than the OnePlus 7 Pro. It looks like this is going to be a trend in the upcoming flagship phones as it makes animations look more fluid.
That’s not the only thing that you should be excited about Asus ROG Phone 2. It has also become the first phone that has been announced as of yet to launch with Snapdragon’s improved 855 Plus SoC. The news was confirmed by “Under One Person”, which is an upcoming game by Tencent China. “Under One Person” will be launched with 120Hz compatibility with the Asus ROG Phone 2. Higher refresh rates often translate to a better gaming experience.
Razer Phone was the first one to start putting high refresh displays in smartphones. Asus and OnePlus quickly follow suit. OnePlus 7 Pro’s one of the biggest feature is its 90Hz display which helps in improving not just the gaming experience, but the user experience. More fluid animations make the phone looks faster and more responsive.
