PUBG, one of the most reigning giants of the mobile and PC gaming world, is a feast for elites and novices. PUBG Mobile 1.7 was released in the month of November, capturing all the players with its ever-fresh new updates in the game. It has been almost 3 months since the last update; fans are waiting for the release date and speculations in the new PUBG Mobile 1.8 update.

When is PUBG 1.8 update release date?

There is no official news on the release date of the update from the makers of the game. However, gamers know that Krafton usually follows a trend of releasing new packs every 3 months. PUBG Mobile 1.7, the last update was released on November 16th 2021. Thus, we can hope to see the new update around the 3rd week of January 2022. The release timing of PUBG Mobile 1.8 will be as below

Estimating from the time of previous releases, we can expect to see PUBG Mobile 1.8 release to happen in the 3rd week, 16th-22nd January 2022.

BGMI M7 release date

Kraton had rolled out the M6 version of the BGMI Royale Pass cycle on 19 December 2021. M6 Royale Pass cycle will come to an end on 20 January 2022 and players will get ready for BGMI M7 as well as PUBG Mobile 1.8 release. It is likely that we can see both the global as well as India version to be released on 21-22nd January 2022.

Sight Feature

The creators of PUBG have decided to implement a new feature into the gun mechanics of the game. It is said that there would be a new type of scope seen in the game. Players will get a completely brand new sight named AC Core. The sight will be equipped with almost every single gun in the game, helping gamers to use it as a scope. It is speculated that this feature resembles that of the red dot sight that is seen in the previous versions of the game.

8v8 TDM Map

The PUBG V 1.8 is said to feature a new map in the Team Death Match category of the game. The new update is said to bring an 8v8 feature in the TDM of the game which is said to feature a new map. The leaks pics suggest that the map is said to be filled with loads of buildings and hide spaces for the 16 players that play at a time

Vikendi 2.0 and Sanhok 3.0

Krafton disappointed players in the last update of PUBG. The PUBG 1.7 version was speculated to feature the new variations of the famous Vikendi and Sanhok maps but never came into the limelight. Fans are now strongly speculating and anticipating the arrival of these two famous maps into the new update of the game

Vehicles

Until now the game did not feature any off-terrain two-wheelers in the game. But, the new PUBG V 1.8 is said to deliver two types of off-terrain bikes – a Dirt Bike and a Mountain Bike. From the leaks, it can be estimated that the bikes can be seen all across the maps, facilitating players to travel across the terrain with ease.

Revive Feature in Water

In the older versions, when you get knocked out while swimming in the water, you had no chance of survival. It was because you couldn’t swim after you get knocked out or your teammate could not revive you whilst you were in the water. Now, that is going to change further on. The new PUBG Mobile 1.8 Update update features revival inside water. Also, you can swim across the water towards the shore and will help players to play safely while in the water.

Item Shop

BGMI M7 update is rumoured to bring the Item Shop that will sell different weapons while playing the game. All one has to do is collect Golden Coins in order to buy weapons from the item shop.

Winter Mode Theme and Lobby

Pro-gamers and data mining enthusiasts have uncovered some exciting features in the new update. It is said that players can now enjoy the new Winter theme, surfing across the snowy slopes. There also have been some speculations that there can be a new Winter themed event for the new update.

Creator voice packs

PUG Mobile 1.8/BGMI M7 will bring prominent creators’ in-game voice packs. They include names like Snax, Kaztro, and Jonathan. One can avail of them for free as well as paid voice pack.

4 ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ characters

Going by some leaks, it appears that the devs are finally releasing the long-awaited crossover with Jujutsu Kaisen anime in PUBG Mobile 1.8 Update. It had been announced in August 2021 similar to the Arcane partnership, 4 new Jujutsu Kaisen characters will be added. Namely:

• Yuji Itadori
• Gojo Satoru
• Megumi Fushiguro
• Kugisaki Nobara

Players will get a chance to talk to any of these anime characters in order to complete missions and earn a new title. These characters will be found in different locations on the map.

Revamped UI

The new PUBG V 1.8 update is said to enhance the UI features, optimizing it for ease of use. Players can see major changes in Visualizations, Animations and other features.

How to download PUBG Mobile 1.8 APK?

PUBG Mobile 1.8 update is still 15 days away from launch. But the Global 1.8 beta APK is doing rounds. In order to enjoy the game and have a completely immersive experience, one should have a stable internet connection, a mobile phone with Android version 5.1.1 or above and at least 2 GB of memory.

The storage file needed for the Pubg Mobile 1.8 Update download – For 32-bit and 64-bit APK file sizes are 620 MB and 704 MB respectively. Step 2: Activate in Settings

The ‘Install from Unknown Source‘ option should be enabled if it has not been done previously. Go to settings and activate it in “Permissions“.

Step 3: Choose Resource Pack

Once the installation is complete, run PUBG Mobile and choose the desired resource pack (low quality or high quality). When the download is finished, tap on the guest option.

HD resource Pack: 368.8MB

Step 4: Enter Invitation Code

A dialogue box appears, prompting to enter an Invitation Code.

Step 5: Confirm

After entering the code in the box, tap on the yellow button to confirm

There can be some issues with the Activation Code. You can get a message asking “You weren’t able to obtain the advance squad leader position, but do not give up“. Just repeat the installation process again to make it work. The message usually flashes when one enters the PUBG Mobile Menu and tries to open Beta Test Invitation.

Remember that the game can only be played if you have the invitation code.
