Ozark is one of those web series that constantly keeps you on a cliffhanger. The show is widely loved by viewers and critiques alike and is one of the best series ever produced by Netflix. The Ozark Season 3 was aired last year, and ever since, fans have been drooling on Ozark Season 4 release date Netflix.
Recently, the show bagged various nominations for the Golden Globe Awards. Last year, Ozark aired on Netflix at the end of March. With Netflix following its pattern of coming up with a new season a year later, unfortunately, Ozark Season 4 did not drop in Spring 2021 because of production delays. There were also rumors of Ozark Season 4 getting canceled.
Quite a while ago, rumors surfaced on the internet that the Ozark Season 4 was canceled by Netflix. However, they turned out to be untrue since the show is one of Netflix’s best shows to date. Instead, OTT had given the production team one more season split into two parts to conclude the story.
The showrunner Chris Mundy said,
We’re so happy Netflix recognized the importance of giving Ozark more time to end the Byrdes’ saga right. It’s been such a great adventure for all of us — both on-screen and off — so we’re thrilled to get the chance to bring it home in the most fulfilling way possible.
Jason Bateman, who plays the role of Marty Byrde, was not sure where and when Ozark end. However, he hinted that it will not be a 12-season show. We do agree with him since Ozark is quite fast-paced and it is just stalling and boring if the show goes on for like a couple of more seasons considering how intelligent the protagonists are.
Ozark Season 4 Release Date
Judging by the previous release dates, Ozark usually takes somewhere around 19 months before the next season hits the screens. The web series in past has also witnessed two short seasons. Also with production work being kicked off in November 2020 and still no news on its end date, the Ozark Final Season is delayed, but not canceled.
There is a strong possibility of Ozark Season 4 will be split into 2 parts. Sources indicate that Ozark Season 4 Part 1 might be released in the latter half of 2021, with the second half airing in 2022.
However, the fall release of Part 1 may get a push to Winter 2021 calendar. Netflix had not mentioned Ozark’s final Season in the list of titles (including Sex Education Season 3 and The Witcher season 2) coming in 2021 with its shareholders. This certainly rings a bell. With the pandemic not going away, there are chances of fans seeing new episodes in early 2022.
Ozark Season 4 Trailer
If you search on YouTube for Ozark Season 4 Trailer, you will find a couple of videos claiming the same. These are all fan-made since Season 4 is still under production. Ozark Season 4 trailer is too early to expect as of now.
However, it was in June 2020, Netflix had teased making a short announcement for Ozark Season 4 coming up. As can be seen from the video, a graphic is seen transforming from crosshairs to a $$ sign to the numeral 4.
It is speculated that Netflix will release Ozark Season 4 trailer during the 2021 Emmys set for 19th September 2021.
Ozark Season 4 Episodes
One thing we know about the final season of the Ozark is that it will be aired in two parts, just like the most popular anime Attack on Titan Final Season. The entire season will feature 14 episodes with the first half having 7 episodes in total.
According to leaks, the Ozark Season 4 Episode 1 will be titled “Beginning of the End”. The final season will have a jaw-dropping end for sure.
Ozark Season 4 Plot
It looks like the series will resume from the point where Marty and Wendy saw Navarro shot Helen Pierce and killed her.
From the looks of it, it seems like the Brydes are really bound to Navarro. Ruth ditching the Brydes and working for Darlene Snell is another obstacle the couple will have to tackle. The showrunner, Chris Mundy told the website EW.com,
I think [season 4] will be about whether or not Ruth really can create something of her own that she wants and is sustainable, or if she wants something else. And I think it will be about if the Byrdes can they turn the biggest mistake of their lives into this huge advantage, and how much will karma catch up with them if they do?

Other members who won’t make it to Season 4 since they died in the last season include Janet McTeer who played the role of Helen Pierce ad Marylouise Burke, the therapist Sue Shelby.

It seems like the final season of Ozark will pack quite a punch, considering the number of people joining the show.
