When is realme UI 2.0 update coming to realme 6? Will it be June?

Share post:

On 28th April 2021, realme announced the rollout of the company’s custom skin, realme UI 2.0 for Realme 6 Pro. This led to huge chaos regarding the status of the realme UI 2.0 update for realme 6. Even though both the models have almost identical features, it is always the Realme 6 Pro that is the first to get any update.

realme 6 was launched a year ago running on Android 10, Realme UI powered with Mediatek MT6785 Helio G90T. The frustration amongst its users is evident as device is less than a year old and OEM has not bothered to update on realme 6 android 11 update date.

There were rumors that Realme might delay the Realme 2.0 early access for Realme 6. However, Realme didn’t disappoint its loyal users and stuck to the schedule. Curious to know the realme 6 android 11 update date? Read on!

Will realme 6 get a stable Android 11 update?

In December 2020, realme had ruled out the apprehensions when it confirmed that they intend to rollout realme UI 2.0 for realme 6. Going by its process, the rollout will be a staged one.

In March, Realme 6 users rejoiced as Realme finally gave their users a status update. Realme finally began to roll out the beta version of Realme UI 2.0 for Realme 6. However, to get your slot in the early access program for Realmi UI 2.0 update, you need to register yourself. The company has designed Open Beta Program to elicit feedback, keep an early check with the user experience and any critical issues.

Since then realme has rolled out 8 major and minor beta updates for the users who have enrolled in the early access program. The company has been regular in releasing new firmware to fix beta version bugs of Realme UI 2.0.

The last one was received by signed users on 29th May via a beta build of Android 11. It began with India as realme UI 2.0 beta 5. This updated version of the patch was labeled C.08 with a size less than 85MB. It was rolled out to both realme 6 and realme 6i with build numbers RMX2002_11_C08. and RMX2001_11_C.08 respectively. Along with this, Realme 6 & 6i received April 2021 Security Update.

In the earlier build, the devs had fixed issues related to crashes. In the latest, it was more around optimizing system performance, system stability, and fixing the power button failure issue.

From this, it is pretty clear that it is going to be a long wait for Realme 6 users to get the Realme UI 2.0 update. Ironing of issues will obviously take time before a stable Android 11 update is rolled out to realme 6 and realme 6i.

Global users of realme 6 should at least wait for 4 more months after beta starts for India. The company has followed a similar trend for realme X50 Pro.

Realme is currently testing the beta version of the Realme UI 2.0 update with models like Realme X2, Realme X2 Pro, and Realme 7 Pro. The stable version is yet to be released for these devices.

In the absence of official confirmation, one can hope for a stable realme UI 2.0 update for realme 6 to land in June, similar to older models like Realme 3 Pro & 5 Pro. At least one can hope to experience it before Android 12 gets rolling out. Stay assured, as soon as we come across any new news, you will be the first to know. Till then, keep in touch and share with us your story.
