On one hand, Google has recently released Android 12 Beta to users as well as developers. On the other side, there are few devices including flagships that are waiting to receive an Android 11 stable update. realme UI 2.0 Android 11 update for realme 7, relame 7i and realme 7 Pro are the few names that are being desperately waited for.

History of realme UI 2.0 Android 11 updates so far by Realme

The wait has been pretty long, since December 2020. In the quarter-wise Android 11 rollout roadmap shared by the OEM, models including Realme 6 Pro, Realme 7/7i/7 Pro, Realme X2 Pro, and Realme Narzo 20 Pro were supposed to receive a stable one in December. However, the schedule has been delayed by many months.

It was by the end of November, Realme had rolled out Realme UI 2.0 Early Access program followed by a beta program for Realme 7 Pro, Realme Narzo 20 in India, Realme X2 Pro in China. In the first week of December, Realme confirmed that Early Access program will be soon rolled out to Realme Narzo 20 Pro, and Realme 7 whereas Realme 6 will get by the end of January. By end of December 2020, Realme 7 Pro users had started receiving realme UI 2.0 Android 11 updates in a phased manner.

However, the Realme 7, Realme 7Pro, Realme Narzo 20, and Realme X2 Pro users were disappointed when they did not receive any Android 11 updates for almost 3 more months. The company continued to remain elusive about its future plans.

During the same time frame, a couple of users shared their conversation with Realme support on the stable realme UI 2.0 Android 11 update timelines. The conversation between realme support confirmed that Android 11 stable rollout will happen by end of March to its 7 series.

By the end of April, the OWM had finally started rolling out a stable Realme UI 2.0 update for the Realme 6 Pro and Realme 7 Pro. By mid of May, Realme 7i was the next to receive. But there was no sign of realme 7 UI 2.0 update.

As per Realme the release schedule for Realme UI 2.0 Android 11 stable update has been set for 4 months for each lineup. The brand usually follows the software update policy of 2 major updates. However, there has been a deviation with Realme 3 and Realme 5 models. They do not find any place in the Android 11 roadmap. It is a disappointment for Realme 3 and Realme 5 users.

When will realme 7 update android 11 happen?

By end of March, Realme 7 users had bagged a couple of open beta updates. It was expected that the company will roll out a stable update soon. Unfortunately, even after a wait of one and a half months, there is minimal information available.

It was around 20th May, the news of the first phase of Realme UI 2.0 Android 11 rollout in Spain to Realme 7 came to light, giving some hope. Additionally few more models were announced to receive Android 11. They were Realme 7 5G, 7 Pro, X2 Pro, and X3 SuperZoom. The phased rollout is expected to complete by July end.

Realme 7 users can now be hopeful though the company is not ready to give any roadmap. Also, the Realme 6 series, Realme 7i, and Realme 7 Pro users have already started receiving adding to the woes of the endless wait. On 28th May, many Realme 7 users updated their devices to Android 11 beta version C.07 update.

Realme is looking forward to wind up the Android 11 schedule on all its eligible devices by second quarter of 2021 in order to get ready for the next Android 12.

They released Android 11 for Realme 6 Pro and 7 Pro about 2.5 months ago – 27th of April. And guess what? Many people (me included) still didn’t have the update, lol.

So I guess you people have to wait till september, because it’s realme.

  2. I’m excited for the upcoming Realme 7 update! I love the new UI and I can’t wait to see what else is in store.
