iQOO Neo 5 India variant spotted on Google Play Console listing, May launch soon

iQOO is gearing up for its next launch in India, an iQOO 7 gaming smartphone. However, the launch remains a mystery. Ahead of the iQOO 7 launch, another device from the Vivo sub-brand has dropped in. The model number Vivo I2012 (likely the iQOO Neo 5) surfaced on the Google Supported Devices list and the Google Play Console. The smartphone was unveiled early in March in China region.

iQOO Neo 5 Release Date

Initially reported by 91Mobiles, on the Google Play Console Neo 5 was spotted with Snapdragon 870 SoC. It hints at a near-future Neo 5 launch though 91Mobiles commits to Jun 24, 2021. The Google Play Console listing reveals that the new model Vivo I2012 will be powered by Snapdragon 870 SoC. On the basis of the model launched in China, few more features can be expected packed in iQOO Neo 5. Let us talk about them!

The bezel-less display is of 6.62-inch with 120Hz OLED panel. The screen has Full HD+ resolution, 1300 nits of brightness, 400 x 1080 pixels, and 480ppi pixel density. In an image of the model attached to the listing, one can also spot a punch hole mounted at the center of the screen for the selfie camera. The display will be a curved display.

Running on SD 870 SoC, it will come with LPDDR4x RAM. It will pair with 8GB/12GB of RAM with 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. Neo 5 will run on Android 11-based Vivo’s OriginOS 1.0 out of the box.

On the optics front, Neo 5 selfie camera will have a 16MP sensor. On the rear, there will be 3 cameras. The configuration is likely to be a 48MP Sony IMX589 primary camera with OIS, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth shooter.

It packs a 4,400 mAh battery supported by 66W fast charging. Apart from these, it will have an in-screen fingerprint scanner for security.

iQOO Neo 5 Price in India

Vivo iQOO Neo 5 is likely to be launched in the budget range under Rs. 35k around Rs. 27,990. It is speculated to launch 3 colors namely – Black, Cloud Blue, and Pixel Orange.
