We all use Facebook, and even if we do not, we have an account there to keep an updated on friends, family, colleagues, and acquaintances.
Within the privacy settings of its main app, Facebook now allows iOS users to see who has visited their profile. If you have an iOS device, all you have to do is go to Privacy Shortcuts and pick the “Who viewed my profile” option.
As of now, this option is only available in the iOS Facebook app. However, the method does not tell you the time and date when your Facebook friend visited your profile. While iOS users can check who has visited their Facebook profile using the Privacy Settings, other users can do so by visiting the official website of Facebook on their desktop. Today, we will show you both methods for determining who has viewed your Facebook timeline.

How can I stop becoming a victim of stalking Facebook?
We would like our readers to play safe when it comes to getting victimised by stalking on Facebook. There are a few safe do’s and dont’s that can help to fend against Facebook stalking. If you have an iota of doubt, as a damage control measure, it is advisable to deactivate your Facebook account till the matter gets sorted out. These are standard practices to be safe on social media.
Block the stalker
As soon as you get the slightest hint of getting stalked, it is advised to unfriend and then block the profile. This option will help in damage control and the stalker will be barred from visiting your profile and timeline. Your Facebook profile will not show in the search results. Most important is that your action of blocking will not be notified by FB.
File a Complaint
Inspite of repeated reminders, stalking on Facebook becomes more like bullying or harassment, you can consider the option to report the account to Facebook. Report the person or any abusive things they post as it goes against the Community Standards.
Use the “Restricted” Privacy Settings option
If you don’t want to raise a complaint, Facebook facilitates adding such stalkers to your restricted list. This feature doesn’t allow them to keep a watch on you unless you make your posts public.
In case you don’t know how you can add anyone to the Restricted list, navigate to his profile. Select the option Friends as sown below. Navigate to “Add to another list…”, and then select Restricted.
Keep Personal Data Private
If you cannot handle stalkers it is advised to not make your personal data or even plans public. This includes the below
- Maiden name
- Birthday
- Anniversary
- Contact information
- Any information about family members
- Photos of family members
- Vacation plans
