Sacred Games Season 3

Netflix’s first original series from India—Sacred Games—was a huge success with critics and audiences when it debuted back in 2018. The show follows Sartaj Singh (Saif Ali Khan), a troubled Mumbai police officer who is tasked with an urgent mission to save the city from impending doom threatened by Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), the missing crime lord who has been gone for 16 years.

In flashbacks of seasons one and two, viewers learn more about Gaitonde’s origins in becoming a crime boss and his connection with Sartaj’s father. Also revealed are details about RAW officer Anjali Mathur, Khanna Guruji’s ashram, which has apocalyptic plans to create an alternate world without conflict, Kusum Devi Yadav’s RAW operation involving Gaitonde in Kenya, and Shahid Khan, a dangerous extremist that happens to be Sartaj’s cousin, harboring secret intentions along with the Ashram members to bring destruction upon India.

The anticipation of the long-awaited Sacred Games season 3 from fans has been steadily building for its release, which is expected to make its debut later in 2023, as speculated by insiders. However, there are many who think that Sacred Games Season 3 has been canceled by Netflix.

The Family Man Season 3

The Family Man is an action-packed spy thriller starring Academy Award nominee Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari, a middle-class man trying to juggle his family life with his secret job as a counterintelligence agent working for the Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell of the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

Packed with fierce chases, thrilling action sequences, and intriguing plotlines, this series has already made waves across streaming platforms in India. Family Man Season 3 will delve deeper into Srikant’s personal life as he takes on new adventures that put him at odds with terrorist organizations in the NorthEast part of India this time.

Mirzapur Season 3

Mirzapur is an Indian crime drama in the background of Uttar Pradesh’s notorious coal-mining region. It follows Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), Bablu Pandit (Vikrant Massey), and Kaleen Bhaiyya (Pankaj Tripathi)—three men vying for control of their small town amidst violence, chaos, power struggles, drugs, and guns.

After two successful seasons full of nail-biting twists and turns, fans can not wait to see what all goes down in Mirzapur Season 3! We’re expecting more bloodshed between rival gangs to be unleashed, along with some powerful performances from cast members like Pankaj Tripathi and  Shweta Tripathi Sharma playing Akhandanand Tripathi aka. Kaleen Bhaiyya and Golu Gupta, respectively.

Mirzapur Season 3 release date is rumored to be announced very soon. With Family Man 3 getting a release date in March 2023, it is speculated that Mirzapur 3 release date announcement is also coming very soon. Stay tuned!

Paatal Lok Season 2

Paatal Lok is Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming dark fantasy series based on Tarun Tejpal’s bestseller, “The Story of My Assassins.” Set in Delhi, where four suspects, Vishal Tyagi (Abhishek Banerjee), Mary Lyngdoh (Mairembam Ronaldo Singh), Kabir M (Aasif Khan), and Tope Singh (Jagjeet Sandhu), are arrested for an assassination attack on a journalist Sanjeev Mehra (Neeraj Kabi), and inspector Hathi Ram Chaudhury (Jaideep Ahlawat) sets out to find out whether these four accused have been framed or they’re actually guilty?

With gripping suspense scenes that keep viewers constantly hooked until its finale, we know our bingeing sessions are only going to get better once Paatal Lok Season 2 releases later this year!  

Bard of Blood Season 2

Bard of Blood is another intriguing show streaming on Netflix India, which revolves around Ex-IIW (Indian Intelligence Wing) agent Kabir Anand, played by Emraan Hashmi, who returns home after years of exile to undertake a new mission. Based on a spy thriller of the same title penned by young author Bilal Siddiqi, Bard of Blood brings us face-to-face espionage operations in the desert of Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

The series features an intense plotline with loads of fascinating schemes, and we can’t wait until it drops to see how Sobhita Dhulipala, Abhishekh Khan, Danish Husain, and Vineet Kumar Singh play different roles connected and entwined together! A Must watch definitely!

However, the renewal of Bard of Blood for Season 2 is yet not confirmed by Netflix.

Panchayat Season 3

It seems the third installment of the cleverly written rural comedy Panchayat might not grace our tv screens anytime soon. Although the director Deepak Kumar Mishra already clarified in an interview that his production team began brainstorming over the script, he refused to comment on the upcoming season’s release date, which makes us assume that the arrival of the much-awaited Panchayat season 3 won’t happen until late 2023.

Asur Season 2

Season: 2 | Episodes: 8-10 (Not confirmed) | Duration – 30-45 minutes/episode
Release Date: TBD in Summer 2023

This thrilling crime drama captivated audiences when it was released last year on Voot Select and gained an IMDb rating of 8.4/10 owing mainly due Barun Sobti’s brilliant performance as Nikhil Nair along with Arshad Warsi playing Dhananjay Singh—both have reportedly finished shooting for this season, though no concrete date has been given out by creators regarding its launch yet.

However, as per our industry sources, the Asur Season 2 on Voot Select can release anytime during the second quarter of 2023.

Made In Heaven Season 2

Set against the backdrop of India’s most opulent weddings, Made In Heaven is the story of Tara (Sobhita Dhulipala) and Karan (Arjun Mathur), two Delhi-based wedding planners navigating through the traditional arranged marriages, virginity tests, and dowry system amidst the big fat Indian wedding atmosphere, where tradition clashes with modern ambitions, secrets, and lies begin to unravel in the supposedly open-minded upper class.

We can’t wait until Made In Heaven Season 2 of this Amazon Prime Video show drops soon! It is speculated that the series should drop any time in the second quarter of 2023 with an announcement of Made in Heaven 2 release date coming soon.

Rana Naidu

Season: 1 (Hindi and Telugu)

Rana and Venkatesh Daggubati, two superstars from South India, are set to star in an upcoming Netflix crime drama web series titled Rana Naidu. It will be the first time for Rana Dagggubati, most famous for his epic Baahubali film series, to share a screen with his uncle Venkatesh Daggubati, who is likewise well-known within the Tollywood industry.

The show is said to be based on the American crime drama Ray Donovan (2013), where the protagonist of that show is a ‘fixer,’ responsible for arranging criminal activities such as bribes or cleaning up after high-profile crimes done by his wealthy clients. It all gets complicated when Ray’s estranged father comes out of prison, and they have no choice but to go on the run together while pursued by law enforcement agencies.

Rana Naidu web series is rumored to premiere on April 26, 2023, on Netflix!

Aashram Season 4

Season: 4 | Episodes: 9-10 (Not confirmed)

Aashram Season 4 is expected to be more exciting and intriguing than its previous seasons. Baba Nirala is claiming himself to be above everything, even the law, in Ashram Season 4, and he protests his custody, claiming that no one can arrest God. Pammi, on the other hand, who had left the Aashram in Ashram Season 2 and had dragged the charlatan to court in Ashram Season 3, allegedly freely returns to the Aashram.

Pammi is also suspected to get married in Ashram Season 4, as she is seen getting ready as a bride. However, Bhopa Singh, Baba’s deputy, warns Pammi to keep away from the godman, commonly known as Baba Nirala.

It is going to be almost 7 months before the teaser of the Ashram Season 4 is released. We can guess shooting has been completed now. With that, we presume the makers will not hold us long to release the next chapter. Henceforth, Ashram Season 4 is speculated to get released in the second quarter of 2023. Though there is no official announcement yet!

Another series that fans want to be renewed is Leila for Season 2. Produced by Deepa Mehta and starring Huma Qureshi, Leila is a dystopian thriller set in futuristic India. It follows Shalini (Qureshi), a desperate mother on the hunt for her missing daughter Leila.

Taking cues from Margaret Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale,” this six-part series will explore themes of religious fundamentalism, caste systems, and complex power dynamics within relationships between men and women as Shalini embarks on her quest to reunite with Leila—no matter what the cost may be.

All these upcoming series have something different to offer in terms of stories and genres, making them the most awaited releases of 2023. With so many exciting new shows coming out this year, it is sure to be a great one for Indian web series fans.
