Xiaomi has started rolling out its new skin MIUI 14 beta on top of Android 13 on eligible smartphones from April 2022. It is also obvious that the OEM would like to complete the stable rollout of the MIUI 13 update to eligible devices before October ends. There are a few models, part of the list, that have been left out from receiving MIUI 13 updates. The brand is working on beta versions but details on the stable version are awaited. To name a few they include Poco M2/M2 Pro, Poco M3, Poco C3, Poco X2, and Poco X3.

The trend of creating sub-brands within the flagship companies was started by Huawei. It achieved tremendous success with its Honor sub-brand, which influenced other vendors such as Xiaomi, who introduced the popular Redmi family of devices and later POCO.

Xiaomi announced the latest version of their proprietary Android skin — MIUI 13 based on Android 12 last year. To those who are unaware, MIUI versions are independent of Android versions, which means that devices (Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO) that aren’t eligible for the Android 12 update may still receive the MIUI 13 update.

Though Poco had decided to step out from the shadows of its parent Xiaomi in 2020, it continues to be a subsidiary of Xiaomi when it comes to using Xiaomi’s MIUI skin. As of now, POCO is denying any talk of a future split to build an in-house custom skin, as Realme did after leaving Oppo.

Let us have a look at the pending models that are waiting to get seeded with the MIUI 13 update based on Android 12 in the coming days.

When will my Poco phone get MIUI 13 update?
