Motorola Moto G100, the new flagship killer of 2021 shows up on final Press Photos

Motorola Moto G100 is no longer a secret. It is the global version of Motorola Edge S, which is already available in China. It was unveiled on 3rd February running on Android 11 and powered by Qualcomm SM8250-AC Snapdragon 870 5G. Now the international version and its leaks are in news. Shortly before Motorola officially releases it, the press photos have been leaked.

The famous tipster Evan Blass has leaked Moto G100 press renders and thereby confirming the specs. The G100 specs are technically speaking an open book. Being a clone of the Chinese variant Motorola Edge S, the technical data is no secret, and display secrets are also out. The Moto G100 price is also known to the mobile world.

Motorola Moto G100 Specifications

Talking about the SoC chipset, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870. It will be the first G-series device to be powered by an 8xx processor from Qualcomm It is supported by variants with 6 GB, 8 GB RAM, and an astounding 12 GB RAM. The internal storage will be 128 GB or 256 GB UFS 3.1 memory. A 1TB extension of storage capacity is also provisioned with support to the MicroSD slot.

On the optics front, Moto G100 boats of 6 cameras. It has 2 selfie cameras and quad rear camera setup. The dual front camera specs are 16MP-main selfie and 8MP-ultra-wide-angle camera.

A quad rear camera setup has 64 MP(f/1.7, (wide), 1/1.72″, 0.8µm, PDAF) main camera, 16 MP (121° (ultrawide), 1.0µm, PDAF), 2 MP depth sensor. and ToF 3D camera. The video making specs read 6K@30fps, 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60fps, and gyro-EIS.

Connectivity options such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and NFC are also provided. It will have a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 20 watts of fast wired charging. It is speculated that Motorola will optionally offer an HDMI dock with G100. The phone is IP52 splash-resistant rating and 215 grams in weight. The smartphone will serve as a PC replacement and probably go in the same direction as Samsung’s DeX.

Motorola Moto G100 Price

The 8 GB/128 GB variant of G100 in Emerald blue color was found to be listed on Spanish retailer Paratupc’s website. Motorola Moto G100 price is quoted at EUR 479.77($590/Rs 42000).

Motorola Moto G100 Release Date

Motorola had announced a launch event on March 25. No more details were shared. It is speculated that the global launch of the Moto G100 will happen on 25th March.

There are few items on the wishlist from Motorola fans. If Motorola could commit to more than a year of updates for their phones, it will indeed be great. Also, Motorola should go back to glorious Droid Turbo 2 days and make phone screens out of indestructible plastic with a customizable back again.
