According to Apple, the upcoming iOS 14.5 update will help users recalibrate their iPhone 11 smartphone batteries. The update will soon make its way to the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. According to a support page on the Apple website,
The Cupertino based company also said that the update is currently under testing and will be soon rolled out to users facing the problem.
Apple will replace iPhone 11 battery experiencing drain
If you are one of the few unlucky users who are facing battery drain on the iPhone 11, Apple will send you a message on your phone, stating
However, the calibration might not work for all users alike. If the message persists even after you update your iPhone to the latest iOS version, Apple will help you replace your battery for free. This means that your battery has degraded to the point where recalibration won’t make much of a difference.
If you want to replace your battery free of charge, you will have to visit your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider. However, that does not mean you cannot continue using your iPhone in the meantime.
In case you have replaced your battery from an Apple Authorized Store, the company said that it will refund such users while also extending their battery warranty.
Siri will not default to female voice
According to a recent report by TechCrunch, Apple is considering making Siri male by default, removing the existing female voice. The change is expected to make its way in the upcoming iOS 14.5 update. Users will be presented with the option to choose either a male or female voice during the initial setup process.
