Demon Slayer: Mugen Train was certainly a rough ride. The tear-jerker of an ending was certainly unexpected. Regardless, a short hiatus later, news of a Demon Slayer Season 2 (aka Kimetsu no Yaiba) began to loom on the horizon. The fans went crazy with the screening first episode(aka Episode 8) of Season 2 on 5th December. It was a special extended episode ‘Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui’. Needless to stress much, fans are desperate for the premiere of Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 9.

The naming for Season 2 has undergone a slight alteration from what was originally perceived. The anime was original to be featured under the title Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yūkaku-hen. But, given the complications involved in using the term “prostitution” in the title, it was decided to be Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2.

The franchise has already revealed that Demon Slayer Season 2 will continue from where the Mugen Train movie left off. Fuji TV has taken over the reins of managing Season 2 given the immense revenue it had raked in on the movie. Previously, TOKYO MX had aired the show sometime late into the night. But, Fuji TV has made a statement to feature the episodes on the “Saturday Premium” 9 PM timings.

Here is a miniature guide of sorts revealing all the possibilities and expectations held from Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 9.

Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 Episode 9 Spoilers/Preview

Season 2 takes off from where Demon Slayer the Movie: Infinity Train left off. So, before you get to Season 2, you might as well watch the film.

Demon Slayer Season 2 Mugen Train Arc wrapped up after 8 episodes, retelling the story of the Mugen Train movie in more detail. After the death of the Fire Hashira, Tanjiro, Inosuke, Nezuko and Zenitsu make their way into the Entertainment District, along with the Sound Hashira, Tengen Usui. The arc will begin from Chapter 70 of the manga and will continue all the way up to chapter 99.

Season 2 sees the trio enter the infamous Yoshiwara district. The real Yoshiwara district was originally a location portrayed as a breeding ground for vice and pleasure. “Coincidentally” in the anime, it’s also the place where demons thrive in huge numbers.

Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 8 began with the Demon Slayer corps at the Butterfly Mansion. After a bit of commotion and confusion, the mansion finally sees some calm. Tengen is asked where they will be headed for their next mission to which his response is: “the flashiest place in Japan, steeped lust and avarice.” They head for the Entertainment District.

The preview teaser brings up Tanjiro saying to Hashira Tengen Uzui, “I’m picking up the scent of a strong sense of responsibility from this man, we can trust him.”

Uzui is heard saying “What’s with that smirk on your face? Do your jobs, you three!”

With the events of the Mugen Train still weighing heavily on the heroes’ heads, the upcoming episodes are expected to revolve around unexpected challenges in the paths of Heroes. But they will continue their fight against the demon gang and its leader Kibutsuji Muzan.

The previews for the next few episodes of the arc hint at the characters Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu going undercover within the Red Light District. Their appearance is also different from what we have always seen the young warriors in past.

The Red Light District story arc has all signs of looking ominous. It will be full of tons of new battles with several new demons. It will not be an over-exaggeration to say that Demon Slayer viewers should prepare mentally for a heart-pounding arc unravelling itself in the coming 10 episodes.
