Motorola has officially disclosed the Moto smartphone lineup eligible for the Android 14 update. Following Google’s introduction of Android 14 on Pixel devices in October 2023, leading players in the smartphone industry, including Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, and OnePlus, have already begun rolling out customized Android 14 updates. Now, Motorola, under the ownership of Lenovo, has joined this trend by deploying My UX, based on Android 14 updates, for its smartphones.
Initially cautious about confirming specific eligible smartphones, Motorola has now updated its support page with a comprehensive list of devices slated to receive the latest iteration of My UX. Unfortunately, the Motorola support page does not offer a precise timeline for the release of the updates, stating only that they will be rolled out once partner approval is obtained.
It’s important to note that accessing the list of devices slated to receive the Android 14 update isn’t straightforward. Users must specifically search for each device, and only then, on each device’s individual page, will they find any indication of whether Android 14 is expected for that device.
In 2023, Motorola introduced several devices powered by the Android 13-based OS, such as the Moto G54 and Moto G84. Furthermore, this year, the company unveiled its new Moto G34 smartphone in India featuring the Android 14-based OS. While some Motorola devices still operate on the Android 13 OS, reports suggest the company has disclosed a list of devices set to receive the upcoming Android 14 update.

Please be aware that models such as the Moto G13, released in Japan last year, are not part of the list and are not expected to receive an OS update unless specified in the future. Additionally, the Moto G52, with multiple derivative models in Japan, is not included, suggesting that models in the same series may not be eligible for updates, and some models may not receive updates at all.
In recent developments, the Moto G53 is currently undergoing the Android 14 rollout, and the Moto G54 is in the beta testing phase through Motorola’s Feedback Network, signifying ongoing testing efforts for the Moto G54. There is an expectation that stable rollouts for additional devices will soon follow.
It’s important to note that Motorola has the flexibility to expand this list in the future. If your device is not currently mentioned, it doesn’t necessarily imply that it won’t receive the Android 14 update eventually. However, the current exclusion from the list suggests that such an update may not occur in the immediate future.
