The initial rumors suggested that Samsung was planning to launch a new smartwatch called the Galaxy Watch FE, which was believed to be an economical version of the Galaxy Watch 4, offering similar features but at a more affordable price point.

However, recent developments, including a report about the Galaxy Watch FE appearing in the IMEI database, have sparked further speculation. A reliable source, Max Jambor, also clarified on X that there won’t be a Galaxy Watch “FE” version after all.

Max Jambor’s recent post on X hinted at Samsung preparing for the release of”Galaxy Watch 4 (2024),” suggesting that Samsung is preparing to launch a rebranded version of the Galaxy Watch 4 accompanied with potential updates or improvements. Samsung is planning to re-release the 2021 Galaxy Watch 4 under the Galaxy Watch 4 2024 name. Essentially it is rebranding the existing model by Samsung.

However, despite earlier rumors about the Galaxy Watch FE, Max Jambor while replying to a query on the FE release clarified that there won’t be a Fan Edition (FE) version of the smartwatch. This suggests that Samsung might be prioritizing the release of the Galaxy Watch 4 (2024) instead of introducing a new FE model.

Roland Quandt’s rumor in February about Samsung releasing a new version of the Galaxy Watch 4 in 2024 aligns with the recent news about the Galaxy Watch 4 2024

The trend of rebranding at Samsung is not new. Samsung often releases updated versions of its products with similar specifications to their predecessors. If the reports about the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4 2024 are accurate, it’s likely to share many features with the 2021 Galaxy Watch 4 while possibly incorporating some improvements to enhance the user experience.

The Galaxy Watch 4 was indeed well-received for its combination of Wear OS-based One UI Watch operating system, enhanced hardware specs, and improved battery performance, providing users with a better overall experience.

For the upcoming Galaxy Watch 4 2024, Samsung is rumored to debut it with the chipset from the Watch 5, which suggests a significant upgrade in performance. It’s also expected to run the latest version of Wear OS, offering the latest health monitoring tools seen in recent wearables.

The success and appeal of the Galaxy Watch 4 2024 will depend on factors like its pricing and any notable improvements Samsung introduces. There’s no official release date, specs or pricing information yet, it’s important to stay tuned for announcements from Samsung.

Tab S6 Lite 2024 will be joining Galaxy Watch 4 2024 at the launch event of Samsung earlier this year.
