According to recent rumors circulating on Weibo and originating from English-speaking sources, Sony is speculated to be working on mid-range segment launches. This includes much in the news Sony Xperia 1 VI and another new Xperia model, potentially dubbed and frequently rumored as the Xperia ACE IV. The rumored device is said to feature a 5.8-inch display with a unique 21:9 aspect ratio and a notch design.

Given Sony’s track record of offering distinctive aspect ratios in its Xperia lineup, the presence of a 21:9 display adds credibility to these rumors. Notably, Sony remains one of the few manufacturers to adopt this aspect ratio.

The inclusion of a notch design typically aligns with devices in the mid-range or entry-level segments, suggesting that the Xperia ACE IV may target this market demographic.

However, it’s worth considering that the 5.8-inch display size doesn’t significantly deviate from the 6.1-inch screens found in the Xperia 10 series. This similarity raises questions about how Sony plans to differentiate between its various models, especially if both the Xperia ACE IV and the Xperia 10 VI are released in the coming days.

Performance: Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor, the Xperia Ace IV is anticipated to deliver smooth performance. It will likely come with an octa-core CPU configuration, consisting of 2×2.2 GHz Kryo 660 Gold cores and 6×1.7 GHz Kryo 660 Silver cores, along with an Adreno 619 GPU.

Camera: The Xperia Ace IV is rumored to sport a versatile camera setup, including a 12MP wide lens, an 8MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide lens on the rear. For selfies, it may feature an 8MP wide-angle front camera. Additional camera features such as LED flash, HDR, and panorama mode are expected.

Network and Connectivity: In terms of connectivity, the Xperia Ace IV is expected to support various features such as call records, messaging, an audio player, FM radio, games, speakers, a video player, a browser, face unlock, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Network support is likely to include 2G, 3G, 4G, and potentially 5G connectivity options.

Other Features: The Xperia Ace IV is speculated to come equipped with a range of sensors including a side-mounted

Until Sony officially announces details about its upcoming Xperia lineup, including the Xperia ACE IV or any other new models, these rumors remain speculative.
