Shutter Island

Martin Scorsese’s psychological thriller Shutter Island is my favorite film starring Leonardo. It is based on Dennis Lehane’s 2003 novel of the same name. I watched the film a few years back, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone who loves unpredictable twists and turns.

The Revenant (2015)

A renowned frontiersman is severely injured in a bear attack, and his hunting crew abandoned him to die there. He uses his skills to survive and seek revenge on the people who left him behind, a perfect story of man vs wild. The American survival drama western film directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu is a must-watch for people who love the thrill. The Revenant enjoys 8/10 on IMDb and 79% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is in the Netflix catalog of Leo’s movies. Leonardo DiCaprio won Best Actor at the 2016 Oscars for the portrayal of the role of Hugh Glass.

The Wolf Of Wall Street (2013)

The Wolf of Wall Street has turned out to be a masterpiece. A one-minute shy of 3 hours run, it is a roaring thrill ride that is both absolutely hilarious and meticulously constructed. The humiliated former stockbroker Jordan Belfort, Leonardo DiCaprio has given his finest acting performance of his career. This is one such Leonardo Dicaprio movie that guarantees to keep you both engaged and hypnotized for nearly the entire duration.

The Departed (2006)

Easily considered to be Martin Scorsese’s best films to date, The Departed boasts of a heavyweight cast that includes names like Jack Nicholson, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, and Leonardo DiCaprio among others. Another classic on Netflix that must be added to your bucket.

Gangs Of New York (2002)

Martin Scorsese’s epic period drama is about Amsterdam, who sets out on a mission to avenge his father, who was killed in a gang fight but gets involved in a civil war instead. Yes, the film seems too long (almost 3 hours) but it is worth watching. It has 7.5/10 on IMDb and 73% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Titanic (1997)

Titanic movie never gets old. It has been 24 years and is fresh like a newly blossomed flower.
