The launch of Nothing Phone looks imminent in the coming days. So believes the tech community after reading mysterious tweets from Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing and co-founder of OnePlus. In the first tweet, Carl Pei announced his “Back on Android” and “Android 12 is nice“. He also tagged the senior vice president of Android in his second tweet. The news has filled speculations of a Nothing phone launch in the coming days.

Check out his tweets and their responses

Pei’s cryptic tweet was responded to by the official Twitter handles of Android and Snapdragon. The Google SVP, Hiroshi Lockheimer, was also tagged in the tweet to which Android responded with, “We’ve got a lot to catch up on, Carl.”

Chipmaker Qualcomm replied with a picture of three people shaking hands. From these mysterious exchanges, we can be sure that Nothing smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon chip and run on Android 12.

In October last year, Carl Pei had entered into an agreement between Nutting and Qualcomm. Following this, it was reported that the Nothing Phone model is coming up.

These banters have led us all to believe the launch of Nothing Company’s first smartphone is coming near. There is one Nothing Phone Concept sketch by a designer from the Nothing community shared by Carl Pei appreciating the work. Unfortunately, officially we do not have any updates on Nothing Phone’s price, release date, and specs.

Last year a report in 91Mobiles carried information about the Nothing Phone release to happen in early 2022 with the possibility of it being named Nothing Phone (1). In addition to a Nothing smartphone, the other one is a power bank. There are 3 more to be revealed as per Nothing India’s Vice President and General Manager Manu Sharma roadmap of 5 new products.

Nothing started its journey last year with the True Wireless Earbuds model, the maiden product so far. Nothing Ear 1 earbuds has done decent business with shipments surpassing 100,000 units.
