Among the feature-rich Xiaomi’s Android skin, MIUI 12, is the homescreen wallpaper that you can look forward too. Unfortunately, MIUI 12 lockscreen wallpaper is not available for global users of Xiaomi and Redmi’s devices.
The wallpaper carousel feature has been made available in China ROM as of now. The reason behind exclusion globally is related to copyright issues and the law of land. Due to which, one may find several differences in China and global versions of feature-packed MIUI 12.
The stylish MIUI 12 homescreen wallpaper is very much similar to the carousel wallpaper. Since it’s release, it much in demand worldwide. The reason is very simple. The lockscreen wallpaper, when applied to the device, loads up a unique wallpaper every time you unlock the smartphone. A wide range of photos pops up dynamically every time one unlocks. The freshness and the anticipation of something new push the user to reach out for the lock screen.
Sadly the experience is available for China Xiaomi device owners. This doesn’t mean that global users will never have MIUI 12 lockscreen wallpaper. Recently, for people demanding the feature got reply on the Mi Community Forum

Currently This Feature (MIUI Lockscreen Wallpaper Slideshow) Is Available Only In MIUI China ROM, If Its Planned For MIUI Global Rom Then It Will Be Made Available Soon!
However, there is an unofficial way to download MIUI 12 lockscreen wallpaper slideshow on the devices upgraded to MIUI 12. Explained in simple steps below, keep in mind that there are few limitations and it has not been released by Xiaomi.
- Head to “MIUI Themes App”
- Tap on the “My Account” tab followed by “Themes Lab”
- Open “Wallpaper slideshow”
- Both the options of Lock screen and Home screen slide show option will be displayed
- Select as per you requirement
- Select the wallpaper by hitting the” + ” icon
Do keep in mind that in the unofficial version, there is a limit of 5 wallpaper pictures for the MIUI 12 homescreen wallpaper slideshow.
Recently Xiaomi had enabled Super Wallpapers on high end devices, having SD 800 series processor. However, the official MIUI 12 Wallpaper package including the much famed Super Wallpapers of Earth, Mars and Saturn can be downloaded on any Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO device from this link .
