It makes us speculate that the highly awaited Panchayat Season 5 release won’t happen until mid-to-late 2026, following the record-breaking success of Panchayat 4, which debuted on June 24, 2025.
Panchayat Season 5 filming is expected to commence by the end of 2025. It will continue to follow the life of Abhishek Tripathi (played by Jitendra Kumar) as he navigates the complexities of working in the panchayat office of Phulera. The season is expected to address unresolved storylines from Panchayat Season 4.

There’s a report that Vaibhav Raj Gupta, who plays Annu Mishra, may exit the show due to disagreements. If so, Anant Vijay Joshi is reportedly being considered as his replacement. From what’s been reported, the story is expected to pick up where Gullak Season 4 ended. One major thread could involve the Mishra family selling their house and moving to a new apartment, and how they adjust to that change.

Rani Bharti’s transformation continues: From being labeled “illiterate” or even “murderer” by some, she also hears people say she could be a future Prime Minister — but her priority remains her family and Bihar. The teaser uses strong imagery (“Bihar hi humara parivaar hai” / “Bihar is our family”) to indicate that personal and political loyalties will collide. We also see hints that the political battle is expanding — possibly new enemies, higher stakes, more ambitious goals.

Filming has been completed. As of May 2025, the shoot was wrapped up. The series is still in the post-production/finishing stage. No official release date has been announced yet — but because it was included in anticipated web-series lists for 2025, there is buzz that it might release sometime then
