India Apple Store Down, To Come Back With More Updates Soon

The newly launched Apple Store in India is down for a couple of options only. Product pages and specifications are accessible. However, while browsing the options ‘buy’ and ‘check pricing’, one is confronted with the following message –

“We’ll be right back, Updates are coming to the Apple Store. Check back soon.”

While browsing the products, say iPhone 12 under the iPhone category, you can watch pages of overview, videos, and Tech specs. However, when one clicks on the option “View pricing” or “Buy” against any product, a black screen with Apple in the foreground stares right in your face.

One can see the Apple logo with a text informing its visitors, “We’ll be right back”, followed by – “Updates are coming to the Apple Store. Check back soon.”

This page pops up whenever anyone wants to know the pricing of any of the Apple products in India.

The best that we can think of the move by Apple is to work on juggling with its prices. In order to stay in competition with e-commerce giants Flipkart and Amazon in their ongoing Flipkart Big Billion Days sale and the Amazon Great Indian Festival respectively, the pricing of products needs to be revised on the site. Also, Apple might be planning to come up with lucrative offers due to the onset of festival days in India.

In a recent incident, the Apple store was offering iPhone 11 with Free AirPods at ₹68,300. Whereas the same combo was being offered on Amazon Great Indian Festival From 17th October for ₹64,899 only.

It is a definitely a good move to take measures to stay competitive in Indian market. This will go a long way to ensure to the customers come to Apple Store to buy any Apple products rather than any retailers.

Stay tuned for updates on the Appel Store coming back online.
