Xiaomi EU ROM has always come to the rescue of English users of Xiaomi, Mi, Redmi, or POCO smartphones. The simplest and obvious reason is that it brings all the goodies of newly launched skin much before the stable Global ROM. In simpler words, it is Xiaomi’s custom Android skin based on the official MIUI ROM. MIUI 12.5 is no different. It can be installed on select devices, thanks to the Xiaomi EU ROM.

As per the release schedule, OEM launches any closed beta build in the China region before opting for a global rollout. Xiaomi had suspended a simultaneous global rollout a year ago. MIUI 12.5 is no longer different. In order to download the user has to bypass the MIUI beta account whitelisting by flashing Xiaomi ROM using TWRP.

The closed beta version has few limitations which many miss on daily basis. The primary one is missing Google Play Services or any pre-installed Google apps. On Android loaded with Chinese closed beta ROM, the absence of Google Services cripples day to day jobs. Also, it is limited to 2 languages, namely – Chinese and English.

In the first week of February, Xiaomi had opened a pilot MIUI Global Stable ROM testing program before rolling out MIUI 12.5. However, the drive was limited to recent launches including Mi 10T series, Mi 9T series, Redmi K20 to name a few.

Xiaomi EU ROM based on MIUI 12.5 is free from these handicaps. Primarily it as not given up on Google Services and Google Play. It also provides support to multiple languages inclusive of Spanish.
