All You Need to Know about Teamfight Tactics Hyperroll

League of Legends fans are in for a treat as Teamfight Tactics, Riot’s auto-battler game set during the League universe, recently launched its new expansion: “Reckoning.”

With this newest addition comes yet another new mode called Teamfight Tactics Hyperroll! Hyperroll simplifies TFT’s battles into something that beginners or casual players can easily understand without knowing how TFT battle economies work.

Even for TFT veterans, there is still much fun to be had in this epic game mode, so we recommend taking on the risks and exploring all of the new strategies.

In TFT, the term “Hyperroll” meant saving your early game gold until stage 3-1. It’s a strategy to get Tier 1 champions at level 4, so you can quickly have a 3-star champion. However, the name now applies to the new game mode featuring shorter games with a new gold mechanic.

Hyperroll takes the traditional Teamfight Tactics game and makes it more strategic and fast-paced. In this manner, if you’re unfamiliar with how the gameplay works, then here’s an overview of what happens at the start:

Each player gets seven opponents that they will face against one another until only one of the eight remains standing. Whoever wins their turn gains gold and extra points for winning duels. Players must also be aware that loss results in damage and some units have abilities that diminish after use, so carelessly sending fighters into battle can prove costly! The last person who stands alive wins that overall game.

Teamfight Tactics is a battle between merchants, where you control the armies, and gold is used to buy more units or upgrade yourself so that your level increases and gives access to additional units.

In this gameplay mechanic, there are three options:

  • Investing money into buying existing ones (which will replenish each round).
  • Spending “re-rolls” by using them again before entering combat against unknown enemies to reproduce desired unit combinations.
  • Leveling yourself up with the money to unlock more units for purchase.

Hyperroll simplifies the complex economy of TFT by automating leveling up and removing interest from players’ bank accounts. In addition, health pools are much lower, making games shorter, and one game only takes 15 minutes instead of 30+ on average.

When Hyperroll arrived on the scene, it brought an easy-to-understand version of TFT with it. In this game mode, you are simply betting your gold against well-timed shop re-rolls and not stacking up cash for later use like in original TFT. There is still some strategy involved here, especially when considering what units will best suit players’ needs at any given time.

Hyperroll is an easy-to-play and less complicated TFT game mode. The simplification of rules allows newcomers to enjoy the method without worrying about complex stuff before they’ve mastered basics and embraced it as their style. This is great, as Teamfight tactics is a complicated game. Even with a good teamfight tactics coach or video guides, it can take years to master

Teamfight Tactics Hyperroll is like a breath of fresh air for TFT veterans and new players alike. There’s nothing more satisfying than when it seamlessly integrates into your game, adding a layer to strategy without disrupting the flow or quality experience you’ve come accustomed to overtime.

I love how Hyperroll works on multiple levels; not only does the mode help test out unique builds, but it also inspires an entirely new way of playing. So, whether you’ve played Teamfight Tactics Hyperroll or not, if you desire to get into the game, I recommend checking out some Teamfight Tactics Hyperroll team comps so you can get straight into the fun!
