Irrfan Khan’s latest comedy film, Angrezi Medium, will stream exclusively on JioCinema as part of a deal signed between the producers and Jio.
The movie will start streaming on JioCinema from 8th May onwards. The movie features Irrfan Khan, Radhika Madan, Deepak Dobriyal, and Kareena Kapoor Khan in pivotal roles.
As mentioned earlier, almost all Bollywood movies that partner with streaming platforms such as Hotstar, JioCinema, Prime Videos are released on the respective platform, once the 8-week theatre deal is finished.
In the case of Angrezi Medium, which came out on 13th March, the release date on JioCinema is 8th May, i.e., eight-week since its theatrical release. 8th May is a Friday, and releasing the movie on that day would be beneficial due to the weekend.
Angrezi Medium is a sequel to the 2017 film Hindi Medium. The producers for the film are Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande, and the film is produced under the banner of Maddock Films. The Director of the film is Homi Adajania. The shooting for the film began in April 2019 in Udaipur, and it was completed in July in London, UK.
The movie earned INR 10 crore in India and the remaining INR 3 crore overseas and earned INR 13 crore overall.
