We have recently received reports that Redmi K20 has started receiving Android 10-based MIUI 11 update. The OTA update for the device has build number MIUI V22.214.171.124.QFJCNXM, and it weighs 2.3GB. It is currently being rolled out in China and the global roll out is awaited.
Redmi K20 was launched in July this year with Android 9 Pie out of the box. The Android 10-based update to the MIUI skin brings a lot of new features and improves the privacy, security, and stability of the software. Some of the features that are introduced by the update include Mi work kit, Mi-Go travel kit, and dynamic font and sound system.
Xiaomi recently completed the rollout of the MIUI 11 Global Stable ROM rollout program. Redmi K20 was included in the first phase of the program that had ended on October 31. However, Redmi K20 received a stable update to the latest custom skin (MIUI 11) based on the older Android version (Android 9 Pie) instead of Android 10.
Xiaomi might begin the global roll out very soon. Therefore, Redmi K20 users can keep checking for the update from time to time by navigating to About Phone > System Update for any notification about the update.
