Bidding adieu to the PUBG Esports’ first official season, PUBG Corp has announced PUBG Global Championship (PGC) 2019. Beginning on November 8, the event is spread across 3 weekends. PUBG players across the globe will get a chance to win the crown and prize money in PGC. Tickets have been put up on sale from October 17 on Ticketmaster
The tournament will be kicked off with a Group Stage Round from November 8 and will continue until November 10. The next weekend will see semi-finals contest. It will be held at the OGN Super Arena in Manhattan Beach, CA, from November 15 to 17. The competition will come to an end with a Grand Finale. Top teams will vie for the coveted prize to be held on November 23 and November 24 in Oakland, California. The prize pool is set to $2 million and the gamers have a chance to be crowned as the 2019 PUBG Global Champions. The 2 days Grand Finals will be broadcast LIVE.
In the preliminary round, Group Stage, 32 teams will be pitched. These teams are from each of PUBG’s nine competitive regions. Bottom eight will be eliminated at the end of three days event. PBC 2019 features the best teams including PUBG Korea League (PKL), North American National PUBG League (NPL), PUBG Europe League (PEL), and the Chinese PUBG Champions League (PCL), to name a few.
24 teams will play for a berth in finals. In the semi-finals, 8 teams will get knocked out leaving with only 16 teams for the Grand Finale. In a two days competition, six matches are planned each day at the Oakland Arena and only one team will walk away with the 2019 PUBG Global Champion title.
