One of the most successful car racing game franchise, Need For Speed has been entirely silent about the next installation. NFS Payback was the last game to come from EA Games Studios in 2017. NFS Payback was released for next-gen gaming consoles including Xbox One and PS4 along with PC. The game did “fairly” well and was well-received by critics.

EA didn’t release any NFS game in 2018, and speculations suggested towards a significant update in NFS series. Although there is still no official update about the release date or name from the Studio, the next installation will undoubtedly be releasing in December 2019.

Gamescom will run from 20th-24th August in Germany this year. EA Studios released an investor update that mentions their plans of releasing the next NFS installation near Christmas 2019.

The name is not confirmed, but according to leaks on the internet, the next title might be called NFS Heat. Many fans are waiting for EA Studios to re-create the magic of NFS Most Wanted or NFS Underground. According to insiders, EA has put Ghost Games on the task of developing NFS Heat.
