Second Stadia Connect was conducted on August 20th as a part of the Gamescom event in Germany. Google focused on all the seven games in its presentation regarding the Stadia device. As anticipated, there was a series of new titles in different genres.
In early 2019, Google introduced the Stadia Connect format resembling with Nintendo Direct-like live stream event while focusing on its game-streaming platform. In the first version of Stadia Connect, Google focused upon the functionality and compatibility parameters. However, in today’s event, the focus was more on what all Google Stadia has to offer. In the first pre-E3 event, Google talked about 30 new titles which the gamers should be looking forward to.
Google unveiled various titles, and surprisingly, none of them was a part of early leaks and rumours regarding the Stadia. Games announced by Google during the second Stadia Connect Event were:
Among all those titles, Cyberpunk 2077 by CD Projekt Red stole much of the limelight. Orcs Must Die 3 was launched as a Stadia Exclusive Title and grabbed a lot of attention. Developers of the game spoke about a lot of details of the game, including the new levels and challenges.
They also mentioned the improvements from the previous versions, which included waves of 500 enemies. Superhot was a surprise as the game debuted in 2016, but now it will be on Stadia with added features.
Talking about the gaming experience, Google discussed a lot of quality features. Google mentioned that the 4K resolution with HDR quality would give a never-before experience to the gamers. In addition to it, a frame rate of 60 fps and 5.1 surround sound will enhance the overall gaming experience.
The gaming subscription fee for Stadia Pro is initially fixed at $10 per month. Users will require a minimum of 10 Mbps internet speed for streaming the 720p resolution at 60 fps and stereo sound. Google also announced that they are planning to launch a base version next year. The base version will allow the users to stream and play games at 1080p and 60fps.
