Mi 11 Youth Edition Specs & Features

Xiaomi has dropped in few hints about the power-packed specs of the device. It boasts an ultra-slim 7.88mm thickness only and 192gm lightweight. Consider it to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition. The company confirmed that the performance and battery life have not been affected due to its lightweight. Instead, it has been improvised.

Today, another spec was dropped and it has caught the eye. Mi 11 Youth Edition will be the world’s first premium smartphone equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G processor.

The technical details of Snapdragon 780G are very impressive. “Little 888” chip is based on a 5nm process. It uses a 1+3+4 chip architecture, including a Cortex-A78 core clocking a massive 2.4GHz. Additionally, it has three 2.2GHz Cortex-A78 mid-cores and four 1.9GHz Cortex-A55 small cores.

Qualcomm has made significant upgrades to the process when compared to its previous versions of SD 765G and SD 780G. The CPU core has also been technologically upgraded. Lei Jun also confirmed that the performance and power consumption of the SD 780G SoC resembles SD 870.

Apart from the premium changes, Xiaomi is likely to give a miss to 3.5mm headphone jack due to its slim profile. However, it is likely to retain a MicroSD card slot.

There are few leaked specifications. Mi 11 Youth Edition display will be 6.55-inch with an AMOLED panel, full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. As far as optics are concerned, it houses a 20-MP selfie camera. At the rear tri camera sensors are expected. Their configuration is likely to be a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide and a 5MP macro sensor.

The handset will run on MIUI 12 based on Android 11 and will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. On the front of RAM, Xiaomi is likely to launch in 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is speculated that it will have a 5,260mAh mAh battery with 33W fast charging. There is no wireless charging option.

Mi 11 Youth Edition colors will be launched in 3 colors namely – Truffle Black, Citrus Yellow, and Mint Green colors.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Youth Edition appears to be the best bet for 2021. It will be sporting the strongest 7-series processor and will be the lightest and thinnest in history,
