Xbox Series X reveal event has a new date and its happening on 23rd July

We all saw the Microsoft event where they revealed the “gameplay” of upcoming games for Xbox Series X. We got a look at some footage from Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. However, the event was disappointing as we got little to no gameplay footage for any major game.

Now, a tweet by Jeff Grub says that Microsoft is planning an Xbox Series X Event for 23rd July. This upcoming event will primarily focus on the games that are made by Microsoft’s first-party studios. However, we might see some games from third-party developers as well.

One of the most notable games that will be showcased at this event is the upcoming Halo Infinite by 343. The game is supposed to come out alongside the Xbox Series X console in the holiday season of 2020.

The Initiative, a company formed by former employees who worked on popular games such as Tomb Raider, Uncharted and God of War, will also reveal its first game during this event.

Now, the tweet also mentions another Xbox event in August. As we are getting most of the details about Xbox Series X and the upcoming games in July, this second event could very well be about the Xbox Series S console (Project Lockhart). The project Lockhart console from Microsoft is a budget-oriented console from Microsoft. It will be perfect for gamers who want next-gen games on an affordable console that plays the latest games on 1080p at 60 FPS.

The July event of Microsoft is more or less confirmed. However, the agenda for the August event is still unknown. But it suggests that Microsoft is revealing something Xbox related that cannot be covered alongside the Xbox Series X.

So, what do you think? Is Microsoft planning to reveal Xbox Series S console in August or the event would cover something totally different? Let us know in the comments below.
