WhatsApp-Dark-Mode

Dark Mode in the frequently used apps is not just a design change but has become a basic necessity for the users. Apps like Twitter & Telegram already have been using the Dark Mode feature, but for WhatsApp, it took way too long in the implementation of this enticing feature. Finally, it has arrived! Formally announced on Twitter

If you are wondering how to enable this on your smartphone, go through this article and turn that annoying lit away.

After testing it for months in the beta mode, finally, one of the most used texting app – WhatsApp is bringing Dark Mode for both Android and iOS versions. As it took so long to launch this feature, the anticipations of the users were quite high, but it seems it is not that impressive what it was assumed. The dark mode feature is a usual tweak that alters the brightness of the phone’s display.

The WhatsApp spokesperson has elaborated it as an eye-friendly measure saying that if pure black and white would have been mixed their contrasting brightness could lead to eye fatigue.

So rather than pulling a usual dark mode, WhatsApp has brought a gray-colored background with an off-white combination to lower the brightness level of display. According to WhatsApp, it would improve the readability of the texts while lowering the extra glare.

For the users, who were already using a system-level dark mode in iOS 13 and Android 10, WhatsApp would automatically make a swift alteration to this new feature within the app itself. For the users who are using earlier Android versions, a few clicks in the setting menu will do the job.
