But Airtel, one of the largest telecom companies in the country, is gearing up to offer you an unparalleled Smart TV and live streaming experience over the internet. You can watch free live TV channels using your Airtel SIM for free on Airtel Xstream website and app. Airtel won’t be charging anything extra from its customers.

In a recent turn of events, Airtel announced the launch of its Xstream service, which will offer a wide range of streaming services all in one package. One can either opt for Airtex Xstream Box also which is similar to Amazon Fire TV Stick or Google’s Chromecast.

There are actually two separate devices which offer some unique functionalities and features, namely the Xstream Hybrid 4K Box and the Xstream Stick.

Airtel TV App revamped to Airtel Xstream

The company also redesigned the Airtel TV app and brought on board a completely new interface with an AI-based content recommendation system. Currently, the app has over 400 channels with 10,000 movies in its library.

Airtel has also partnered up with various entertainment providers such as ZEE5, Eros Now, Hoichoice, Hooq, ShareIt and Hungama. Some of the customers might also get Amazon Prime and Prime Video free for the first year along with 3 months of Netflix.

The company has vowed to provide premium content for free for the first year. If you are Gold or Platinum user, which is based on one’s prepaid, postpaid or broadband subscription, the content will stay free even after the first year’s subscription.
