The Government of India banned TikTok and 58 other Chinese applications in India. Immediately, all those applications were removed from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in India. Now, just after a day of its ban, TikTok can make a return to the Indian market. Read here to know-how.

All these Chinese apps were banned because these were engaged in certain activities that are dangerous for national security and defense of India, which ultimately impinges upon the sovereignty and integrity of India. This means that all the apps were stuck in doing some wrong deeds, which cannot be accepted in India. These include data theft, location information, and even misusing app permissions.

Several claims were made that TikTok can trace your location and language, even if you try to use a VPN. This happens as TikTok can use your SIM card to know your location, but the app does not ask for any such permission. Further, many more such claims were made for all other applications, which led to their banishment.

TikTok has high earning from India, and surely, the company doesn’t want to leave the territory. Thus, the app has started a conversation with the Government about the same. TikTok is currently in talking terms and claims that they will stand up to the expectations of the Government. They are also ready to change their terms of services and the privacy policy, as they claim that the privacy and security of all users in India is their utmost priority.

So, if somehow TikTok manages to stand clear in the eyes of the Indian Government, then we might see a return of the TikTok app. But, the damage is already done. A lot of users have quit the app after YouTube vs. TikTok controversy. Others have abandoned it for the sake of boycotting Chinese products. So even if TikTok does come back, it would never be the same as before.

What do you think about the return of TikTok? Would you use the app if it is ‘un-banned’? Do share your views in the comments sections. For more such news and updates, stay tuned to www.PhonesWiki.com.
