Considering that theatres might open late due to ongoing issues, most filmmakers, especially those with small budget films, decided to go with OTT streaming instead of theatrical release.
Dil Bechara To Stream On Disney+ Hotstar
There were speculations of Sushant’s Dil Bechara Kriti Sanon’s Mimi, Akshay’s Laxmii Bomb, and some more films are bagged by Disney+ Hotstar for streaming. Even though fans of Sushant demanded a theatrical release for the film, the deal with Disney+ Hotstar was already done. Today, Dil Bechara became the first Bollywood film announced by Disney+ Hotstar that will not release in theatres first.
Disney+ Hostar posted on Instagram with the caption, “Verified. A story of love, hope, and endless memories. Celebrating the late #SushantSinghRajput’s legacy that will be etched in the minds of all and cherished forever. #DilBechara coming to everyone on July 24. For the love of Sushant and his love for cinema, the movie will be available to all subscribers and non-subscribers.”
