Samsung One UI 3 Release Date, Features & Supported devices

one ui 3

If you are using a Samsung device with One UI, then you might appreciate how convenient Samsung has become. Earlier Samsung used to struggle with their User Interface. It was inconvenient, quite buggy and hanged a lot. But since Samsung has introduced the new One UI, things have changed a lot. It has made user experience better, made the devices much smoother and even more stable.

What is One UI?

One UI is a User Interface made by Samsung built on top of Android. Samsung launched it on 24th December 2018. It is basically that intelligence which lets you control your phone. Your App Tray, Settings and everything that you do with your phone directly or indirectly depends on your User Interface, so, it won’t be wrong to call UI the senses of your phone, as it lets you control your phone.

One UI 3.0 Release Date:

Google launched Android 9 ‘Pie’ on 6 August 2018. The One UI rolled out on 24th December 2018. Thus, making the One UI exclusive for Android P. Then Google came with Android 10 ‘Q’, on 3rd September 2019, soon after, with Android 10 update on their devices, Samsung introduced the One UI 2.0. Now, when Google has officially started working on Android 11, One UI 3 also seems to be around the corner. Expected release of the Android 11 is in October, and thus expect the One UI to be in late 2020 or early 2021.

Devices Expected to Get the One UI 3:

One of the perks of Samsung devices is that majority of the models (mainly mid-range and flagships) get at least two major software updates. Say, if you buy a Samsung device, which has stock Android 9 and One UI, you are expected to get Android 10 and Android 11 updates, if your device hardware is compatible. Here is a list of the expected line up to get the Samsung’s One UI 3.0 (unofficial):

  • Samsung Galaxy S20
  • Samsung Galaxy S10
  • Samsung Galaxy S9
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 10
  • Samsung Galaxy A71
  • Samsung Galaxy A51
  • Samsung Galaxy Z Flip
  • Samsung Galaxy Fold
  • Samsung Galaxy M31

This is an unofficial list and is based on the above-discussed reason. These are the devices that are expected to get the update initially. Gradually, more devices will be added to get the new updates.

Expected Features in One UI 3:

With every update in the UI, one will always expect better performance, like, smoother transition between apps, faster and snappier experience. Company has always tried to make the experience better, so, One UI 3 has high hopes. Lesser bugs, easy usage, and smooth experience are the things that we would like to see with the One UI 3.
