The newest Samsung Galaxy A series – A50, Galaxy A20 & A10e smartphones were launched last month in the US. The launch price of the Galaxy A20 is $249.99, while the A10e costs $179.99 only. At the time of roll-out, the carriers and retailers were not announced by Samsung. Today the carrier, T-Mobile has announced that it will be offering both the Galaxy A20 & A10e for sale starting on July 26. Galaxy A10e has already made its way to AT&T and Sprint MVNO Boost Mobile stores.
T-Mobile will be selling Galaxy A10e at $175 all-inclusive OR $0 down payment with the carrier’s installment plan of $7.30 per month for two years. If you opt for adding a voice service then Galaxy A10e is all yours after completing 24 installments. Galaxy A20 can be bought for $250 all-inclusive, or $10 down payment with the carrier’s installment plan of $10 in 24 monthly installments.
Mid-range Samsung Galaxy A20 & A10e and slightly expensive Galaxy A50 are gaining grounds in the smartphone market.
Specifications of Samsung Galaxy A20 & A10e
Galaxy A20 has already been there in the market and its features are known. It features a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-V display with an HD+ (1560 x 720p) screen resolution. It is powered by proprietary Exynos 7884 SoC with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The provision for a microSD card slot for storage expansion is provided. It has a 13-megapixel f/1.9 rear camera with a secondary camera of 5-megapixel Ultra-Wide Angle Lens. The front camera is of 8-megapixel resolution. The battery size is 1000mAH bigger than Galaxy A10e version.
The display on Samsung Galaxy A10e is a 5.83-inch Infinity Display (TFT-LCD) with the edge-to-edge bezel-less design with HD+ (1560 x 720p) screen resolution. It is likely to be powered by the same processor as its sibling A20 but with a 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage with a provision for a 512GB-capable microSD card slot. The front camera has a 5-megapixel lens with f/2.0 aperture whereas the rear camera is of 8-megapixel only. Galaxy A10e comes with a 3,000mAh battery. The battery will last longer because the display features HD resolution (720p).
With the phasing out of J-series, the Korean giant Samsung has launched Galaxy A20 and Galaxy A10e for the first time in the US market. The A-series is an effort towards providing high-end specifications coupled with new features in a budget-friendly segment.
