On 18th July, Samsung Galaxy A80 was launched in India, the latest addition to the “A” series family. Launched at a price of ₹47,990 ($696) it will be open for pre-orders from 22nd July to 31st July. From 1st August it can be purchased directly from mobile retail stores, Samsung India online stores, Samsung Opera House and e-commerce platforms. It is available in 3 color options that are Angel Gold, Ghost White, and Phantom Black. For the customers who opt for pre-booking will be able to avail a free one-time screen replacement. For Citibank cardholders, there is an offer of 5% cashback.
The USP of the A80 phone is its rotating camera design with a triple rear camera setup which differentiates it from the other high-end premium segment smartphones. The specs of the triple rear camera of A80 read as 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 f/2.0 primary camera and an 8-megapixel 123-degree f/2.2 secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle camera. For depth mapping, it uses ToF (Time of Flight) camera.
