Redmi Note 7 Pro was released in March 2019 and its popularity in the budget segment continues to hold ground even after 2 years of its release. At the time of launch, it was powered by an SDM675 Snapdragon 675 chipset running on Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box. Later on, it upgraded to Android 10 based MIUI 12 custom skin from Xiaomi.

Redmi Note 7 Pro users were in for hard-luck as Xiaomi supported only one major software update when it got launched. The OEM had changed its policy a year later and started supporting 2 major Android OS updates.
