Xiaomi is the most popular mobile brand in India. This Chinese mobile manufacturer is currently the number one mobile brand in India. Thanks to its affordable pricing with top of the line specifications and constant addition of latest features, it is the go-to brand for most of the Indian customers.
Now, in 2020, Xiaomi is going to launch its first 5G compatible phone in India. The Xiaomi K30 5G has been given the green light by the Bureau of Indian Standards(BIS). So, we can safely assume that the phone will be available on the Indian market pretty soon. It is evident as there was a phone with model number M2001G7AI on the BIS website. This number belongs to the K30 5G; however, no evidence of the K30 4G variant is available as of now. As of now, no 5G network is available in India, so the phone will be pretty much identical to the 4G variant.
As for the specifications, the K30 boasts of a 6.67-inch FHD+ display. It comes with a resolution of 2400×1080 and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Though, the screen will be an IPS LCD panel with HDR 10 support and will be protected by Gorilla Glass 5.
The phone will also feature a Snapdragon 765G chipset and will come with a quad-camera arrangement at the back. The primary camera will be a 64 MP Sony IMX686. It will also feature an 8 MP ultrawide lens, a 5 MP macro lens, and a 2 MP depth-sensing lens at the back. On the front side, there will be a dual-camera setup with 20 MP primary lens and a 2 MP depth sensor.
Right now, in China, Redmi K30 5G has four options. A 6GB RAM with 64 or 128 GB ROM option and 8 GB RAM with 128 or 256 GB ROM option. It will feature a 4500mAh battery and will be available in White, Red, Purple, and Blue colors. In India, it will be launched at an estimated price of ₹16000.
