At the Realme X2, aka Realme XT 730G launch event in late December 2019, the company had finally raised the curtain on its own customized UI, Realme UI. At the same time, the company also revealed the release roadmap for Realme devices that are supposed to get the update starting from this month.
Realme has officially confirmed the launch of the new UI today, uncovering the features that will come up with the update. As previously revealed by the company CEO Madhav Sheth, the Android 10 update to Realme devices will give users a near-stock Android experience with reduced bloatware. At that time, it was believed that he was talking about the ColorOS 7 update that is developed by Realme’s former parent company, OPPO.
Realme UI is developed on the latest quantum animation engine that intends to improve screen fluency and optimization. The UI will feature high-saturation and high-brightness colors. The app icons resemble household items that can be customized to various shapes and sizes.
These apart, the new UI brings 11 fresh wallpapers relating to nature, three-finger screenshot gesture, privacy protection, and a new “Focus mode” for a better gaming experience that is also an integral feature of ColorOS 7.
As per the rollout schedule, Realme XT and Realme 3 Pro will get the first Realme UI updates starting this month. The new UI will be gradually roll-out to other devices and complete by the third quarter of this year. Please refer to the rollout schedule to know which devices will receive the updates next.
