After the ban on Chinese apps, mobile gamers in India were unable to play PUBG Mobile. Apple and Google stopped offering the game on their online store after the PUBG Mobile ban. Yesterday’s news of PUBG Mobile exit from the country made its fans emotional.

Recently, Tencent, the creators of the mobile version of the Battle Royale game, released a statement stating that they would shut down their servers in India. This server shut down would mean players won’t be able to play the game. Tencent is shutting down PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite servers located in India.

The ban meant that Google and Apple stopped offering the game for download in India. However, if you had the game installed on your Mobile, you could play online matches. This server shut down means players can no longer play the game in India. The news outbreak of PUBG Mobile exit has caused major heartbreaks for all ‘Chicken Dinner’ lovers.

The Chinese company posted a message on Facebook talking about the PUBG Mobile exit issue. They wrote,

Dear Fans, To comply with the interim order of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology dated September 2, 2020, Tencent Games will terminate all service and access for users in India to PUBG MOBILE Nordic Map: Livik and PUBG MOBILE Lite (together, “PUBG Mobile”) on October 30, 2020. The rights to publish PUBG MOBILE in India will be returned to the owner of the PUBG intellectual property.

PUBG On Console & PC Available To Play

Gamers who want to enjoy the original PUBG game, that was made for PC and consoles can still play the game. The original game was made by Bluehole Studio, a South Korean company.

This server shut down would wipe off the popular battle-royale from the Indian market, but people might still use VPNs or proxy to play the game. However, the high ping would make it unplayable for most gamers.

Popular Online Mobile Games Options

The ban on PUBG Mobile has forced Indian gamers to look for alternatives. At present, games such as Call of Duty Mobile, Garena Free Fire, and the upcoming FAU-G are the top choices for gamers.

You might also want to try Pixel’s Unknown Battle Ground. This PUBG Mobile clone offers well-known gameplay with Minecraft graphics.

If you are looking for games that you could play with your friends, try Among Us, a popular game with a great multiplayer component. Games such as Asphalt 9, Minecraft, Unkilled, and Vainglory are also decent online multiplayer games.

Starting today, PUBG Mobile exit, which was famous and infamous in India during its two-year run, will be formalised in the country.
