PUBG Mobile Gets Livik, a Small Map Designed for Quicker Matches

Devs also continued to talk about the PUBG Mobile’s exclusive map christened Livik for the Battle Royale format, based on the Nordic terrain. The developers mentioned that this map had been designed to allow lightning-fast gameplay that consists of 15-minute long matches. The map is going to support only 40-players and will have a Nordic style environment.

In addition to this map, PUBG Mobile will also receive a couple of new guns. The much talked about, P90 will be available on Livik along with MK12 burst sniper rifle.

As of now, PUBG Mobile developers haven’t mentioned a release date for Livik. However, in a FAQ section, the developers answered some questions about this new map. They confirmed that the map will feature new guns and is designed for the fast-paced gameplay.

The developers of PUBG Mobile also mentioned that nearly all the weapons available on Livik will be compatible with extended barrel attachment. The use of extended barrel would increase the range of weapons and make them usable in taking down enemies who are further away from the player.

The size of Livik is 2km by 2km, but its small size doesn’t mean that the map is boring. It includes some interesting spots such as a hot spring, a volcano, and a waterfall. The map is smallest till date, smaller than even Sanhok.

The developers stated that “Players might even get washed away by rapid water flow when standing on the top of the waterfall. You can also prep with new surprise tactics, such as launching a motorboat off the top of a waterfall to the water below on an unsuspecting team.”

According to the FAQs answered by the game’s developers, new map will arrive in the second half of this year. There’s nothing more specific regarding the launch timeline.
