Pokémon Go’s Tweet Hints At The Swords Of Justice Legendary Trio

Pokémon Go developer Niantic took an interesting break today from the running teaser campaign for a Team Rocket-themed update. It posted a cryptic tweet today which left its fans wondering -what’s next’! On the first go, it looks like that it is on the verge of unshackling a trio of brand new legendary Pokémon into the wild.

Niantic devs posted a rather unusual tweet which features no image, text or video footage. Only two emojis completed the message and the rest was left to assumption and interesting banter. It had a pair of crossed swords and a set of scales.

On first glance, the first emoji of the sword hints towards disclosure linked with Pokémon Sword and Shield. But fans were prompt in decoding that the scales don’t match with the title. The possibility of Pokémon Sword and Shield got ruled out. The title “Swords of Justice” received maximum votes. It appears that the emojis from Niantic signal the imminent entry of three new legendary (and probably a Mythical fourth) ‘Mons’.

Swords of Justice” is a group of three Legendary Pokemon and one Mythical Pokemon that debuted in Pokemon Black and White. The new Gen 5 Legendary figures are Terrakion, Virizion, Cobalion, and Keldeo. Though all four have unique primary types but they have a common a secondary Fighting-type Pokemon.

The quartet derives inspiration from The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. Cobalion represents Athos and leads the pack. Terrakion represents Porthos, the order’s strongest, and third legendary Virizion takes after Aramis, the romantic. The fourth and youngest musketeer, Keldeo, is a Mythical Pokémon. One could add to the collection obtainable via a special event in Pokémon Black and White.

The aim of quadruped was to find out ways from stopping humans from destroying Pokemon habitats and trespassing on the Pokemon territory.
