The MD of Xiaomi, Manu Kumar Jain, has recently teased Poco fans on Twitter about the upcoming Poco F2 that is waiting for launch for a quite long time. Poco F1 was released more than a year ago. Hence, expectations are ripe about the next instalment of the series.
In reply to a comment by Nimish Dubey commenting round and round on the release of Poco F2, Manu Kumar Jain tweeted “ROFL” with three smileys implying something might be cooking down in the Xiaomi headquarter regarding the launch of the phone.

It is not very difficult to believe that Poco F2 will launch very soon. We have recently come across a design leak of the phone, provided unintentionally by the popular U.S. based manufacturer of smartphone cases, Spigen. A few days back, Spigen website accidentally listed two types of cases – Liquid Crystal and Rugged Armor– for the much-expected phone, both of which were pulled off later from the listing. The appearance of Poco F2 in the listing had a lot of similarities with Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro.
There are also speculations that Xiaomi might launch Poco F2 at the end of this year based on the tendency of the company to release devices with the latest chipset at the end of the lifecycle to keep costs lower. There is a rumour that Poco F2 might get released with the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, which was released in July this year. We thought Xiaomi might be waiting for the time when the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset fits into the cost structure of Poco F2. So, let’s keep our fingers crossed on that note.
