Oppo seems in a hurry to launch new smartphones. It’s been only 2 months since the launch of Oppo Reno 10x zoom and Oppo Reno 2 with 20x zoom is already on the table. Oppo has announced about their upcoming event where they will be launching Oppo Reno2. The announcement came on their Twitter account today:
The event is set to be held on 28th August in New Delhi. Termed as Oppo Reno2 Event, very creatively, will see a new smartphone with a quad-camera setup. Oppo launched Reno 10x Zoom with Snapdragon 855, which is expected to be retained in the new Reno2 instead of SD 855+. The newly launched and improved SD 855 offers around 4% better CPU performance with 15% more GPU performance. The focus, however, seems to be on the rear camera setup offering 20x optical zoom which is double than Reno 10x zoom.
Oppo will also launch Reno2 in India first before it is made available in the global market. Although the claim of 20x zoom will have a combination of both optical and digital zoom. A bigger battery update is expected in the Oppo Reno2. The main camera sensor is expected to have 64 MP resolution. We will need to wait for the launch event to get all the answers regarding price and specs.
